As a Transformational Nutrition Coach, I understand and acknowledge the importance of spiritual nutrition, which means connecting to one's self, others, and the environment. One of the best ways to nourish and revitalize your relationship with yourself is through self-care. And, we I am talking about more than just the occasional manicure, or Starbucks coffee, or bubblebath. It's time we begin to look at self-care as imperative, and to move it from the bottom of our to-do list to the very top. For me, self-care has become my fuel and my fire (after many years of neglecting this aspect of nutrition altogether!). When I claim time on my calendar on a regular basis for things like self-reflection, daily journaling, movement, alone time, and, yes, the occasional massage, I feel more connected to myself and my purpose.
And, guess what?
The more that I claim time for myself, the more I overflow with generosity and patience for the other people in my life!
Because, truly, the more you give yourself, the more you can give to others from a place of fullness.
I know that you are busy, and you have kids to look after and meetings to attend and spouses to care for. But, don't forget about YOU. You wouldn't drive your car for miles and miles on an empty tank of gas — the same applies to how you treat yourself.
As a CTNC I define nutrition as anything that feeds you - physically, mentally, and spiritually.
What you're really hungry for this week: Self-love
